Smart Growth Realty was founded to create an awareness for the need to build,remodel and retrofit Green and Sustainable homes in the South Florida area. Real estate brokers and agents have the unique ability to influence the spending of huge sums of money every year in real estate transactions. Not only in the purchase of the property, but in remodeling decisions, financing decisions, furnishing and decorating decisions.

Smart Growth Realty wants to ensure that environmentally responsible and safe decisions are made with these purchases. By working with green minded clients and connecting them with green service providers and products, we hope to help green all the South Florida homes we sell one at a time.

 We currently operate in a small sustainable office in Coral Gables with a high walk score ranking. We use the Coral Gables Trolley system to move around the downtown Gables area.  We also try to eliminate the unwanted paper waste,energy consumption of a large office. Promoting recycling is a part of our everyday work habit. 

Smart Growth Realty provides our agents the option of using Smart Tools, a set of environmentally friendly marketing products such as : Docusign( Electronic Signatures), XPressdocs ( Direct mail on Recycled Paper) to name a few. We also incorporate environmentally responsible and socially just principles and practices into all aspects of our business.  With respect to Buyers and Homeowners we will donate 10% of our gross commissions to you to promote green building practices.

Smart Growth Realty  is an active member of the South Florida Chapter of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) , attendees at the Dream in Green Schools challenge program in teaching and making our local schools reduce energy,waste and Greenhouse gas. We are also actively working with local builders to create sustainable energy efficient communities. All of our agents are required within the first 12 months of employment  to earn their Eco Broker and/or NAR Green Designation as a pre-requisite.
